Senior Corporate Accountant
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Corporate Accountant to join the Group Finance function of a Global organisation. This role provides a great opportunity for growth and includes a wide range of corporate accounting responsibilities.

Our Group Finance function is looking for a dynamic Senior Corporate Accountant who is ready to make a difference and help shape the global financial and reporting landscape. This role will work very closely with the Head of Group Finance, Finance team members, and Business partners to meet the accounting and reporting requirements of the organisations.
About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Group Finance, the Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for a consolidation of financial reporting, providing strategic support and financial stewardship to finance team and the business, along with technical accounting research and training. Being a key finance role, responsibilities involves statutory and compliance requirements focussed primarily on:
  • Preparation of consolidated multi-currency financial statements, including notes and disclosure in compliance with IFRS; preparing accounting papers, financial analysis, management reporting, and assisting with statutory reporting compliance
  • Assist with external audit requests, trial balance reviews, significant contract reviews, and range of analysis needed to support corporate and regional finance functions
  • Being the subject matter expert on all technical accounting matters for the Group, along with providing direction and support to the Finance team on the statutory reporting requirements
  • Delivering continued improvements with financial processes, governance, financial controls, identify best practice, and create ideas for process automation
  • Being able to comprehend complex accounting topics and determine the appropriate treatment required under the IFRS and GAAP
  • Assist with technical accounting research, preparation working papers to support accounting positions, and being a key resource in transitioning to the new revenue and lease accounting standards
About you:
As this is a senior role, you will a proven track record of academic and professional excellence. A self -directed individual with strong ability to manage ambiguity, who can adapt readily and easily to evolving priorities and business conditions. You will be CA qualified with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, and would have begun your career within a Big4 or a mid-tier environment prior to making your move into a complex global organisation. Extensive experience with ERP systems, and ability to influence across regional boundaries to effect change, and be flexible to handle a dynamic and changing environment.
