BCD is a locally owned and operated planning and engineering consultancy and has been going strong since 2010. We have grown to 65 staff across our Hamilton, New Plymouth and Tauranga offices and specialise in providing planning, structural, civil and geotechnical engineering consulting services to a wide range of public and private sector clients throughout New Zealand.  We have a diverse yet close knit team where social and sporting activities are promoted, and staff development is a big focus.  BCD prides itself on team camaraderie and its flexibility and empowerment of staff whilst fostering a positive and rewarding culture.

Due to continued growth of the business, we are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with a minimum of 4 years' experience based in our Tauranga office.  You will be providing consultancy services to clients in respect to investigation and design services, including the management and execution of expressions of interest and project proposals, design briefs, fee estimates and negotiation of fees for services with clients and ensuring that projects operate on a profitable basis.

The right candidate will have consultancy experience in New Zealand successfully delivering projects with the ability to manage key client relationships.

About You:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 4 years Structural Design experience
  • Project delivery experience
  • Problem solver with an eye for detail
  • Commitment to providing best outcomes for your clients
  •  Able to work autonomously and within a team environment.
  •  Good communication skills and good rapport skills with clients.
