Part Time (20-25 Hours Per Week Flexible)

As we take on these challenges and continue to grow our operation in Wellington, we're seeking a proactive and experienced Payroll Specialist & HR Support person to join the People & Culture operations locally.

What the role involves:

Reporting to the HR Advisor, the Payroll Specialist & HR Support will provide operational day to day Human Resources assistance to the People & Culture team.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Accurate processing of the fortnightly payroll under the supervision of HR Advisor
  • Support end to end preparation and processing of the payroll and reporting for approx. 400 employees
  • Responding to all Payroll queries timely and accurately
  • Processing IRD, ACC and Kiwisaver payments
  • Assistance with Human Resource project plans and activities
  • Providing support to the Human Resource team on various HR matters as they arise
  • Providing support to Manager, People & Culture as required.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be required as determined by the Manager, People and Culture from time to time.

What we're looking for:

  • Understanding and experience in payroll processing (essential)
  • JadeStar experience (desirable)
  • Current knowledge of payroll legislation
  • Experience in interpreting terms and conditions of collectives
  • Previous experience in an administration position
