Our client seeks a motivated Junior Engineer to join their busy team based in Auckland. As a Junior Engineer, you will be involved in day to day operations including; working closely with internal and external clients, attending contract meetings, reporting and action plans, site inspections, plant management and maintenance, audits and supporting the operational crews. There is also an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and career growth within the business.
The right candidate should:
- Have experience on commercial construction sites.
- Be able to check and prepare site reports, designs and drawings.
- Be able to ensure all Health & Safety regulations are strictly adhered to.
- Communicate effectively, on technical matters between stakeholder groups including various engineering, technical, construction, operations and project groups.
- Have a sound technical and practical knowledge of the day to day running of a commercial construction site.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Have a BE qualification or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proven practical experience in a contracting environment.
- Excellent problem-solving ability.
- Strong work ethic.
- A good health and safety related track record.
- Ability to communicate effectively with in-house staff, subcontractors and service providers.
- Experience in dealing with clients, consultant engineers, council inspection staff.
