The Building Services Manager role will be responsible for ensuring the services components of complex projects (design, installation and maintenance of essential services and equipment) are completed economically and efficiently to the highest of quality standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Direct, lead and supervise site staff
- Give clear direction and instructions to sub-contractors
- Adhere to quality assurance, carry out checks and raise any issues
- Work closely with the site manager to develop a detailed understanding of task requirements
- Comply with health and safety requirements, conduct weekly toolbox meetings and record all accidents and incidents
Skills and experience required:
- Experience in commercial construction
- Fully qualified in a services trade (preferably Electrical/Mechanical)
- Strong experience in QA and Health and Safety
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team on a construction site
- The attitude to take ownership of services installations
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
