Look forward to all that will come with being part of our project - a $450M, 22km infrastructure project that’s the largest roading project in Waikato’s history. With 17 bridges and five new interchanges, this project is one Fletcher are proud to be part of the CityEdge Alliance building this expressway on behalf of the New Zealand Transport Agency.

This is a great opportunity for an Environmental Specialist to be an integral member of the team in delivering this long term project, as rapidly as possible in the city’s most affected areas.  

Through monitoring and auditing processes, you will be responsible for ensuring that civil works undertaken will have the least impact on the environment.   The successful candidate will be able to communicate with a range of people from diverse backgrounds and will have a practical nature to provide innovative solutions to difficult problems.  Flexibility is essential as is the ability to respond quickly and effectively when issues arise.   

Reporting to the Environmental Manager, you will have a tertiary environmental, planning or engineering qualification and 3-5 years’ experience in construction, regional/local government or related business.   Experience developing erosion and sediment control plans would be an advantage.
