Due to an impending retirement from one of our key leaders from within the company, we have an outstanding opportunity to join the PowerNet team in the exciting and rewarding role of Distribution Manager. The role will be based in Gore however being Invercargill based is a possible option.

As Distribution Manager you will be responsible for the leadership and development of our Distribution Business unit. You will play a significant role in the business planning and financial management of this business whilst ensuring the safety of our workforce and community.

Experience/Knowledge and Skills:
• Demonstrated leadership of a large field team specifically experience with a large geographically dispersed team
• Leadership career based on succession plan of career development over a 15 to 20 year period.
• Values workplace diversity and inclusion to achieve higher employee engagement, improved performance, greater innovation, retention of talent & improved employee wellbeing
• Proven safety competency and implementation of current legislation
• Experience and demonstrated positive outcomes with building relationships with other parties such as contractors and unions
• Business and Commercial acumen along with proven Personal Development
• Applied experience with a continuous improvement framework with end results using its application
• Experience with health monitoring systems from within an organization
• Understanding of company surveys and survey cycles
• Previously involved with and solved the challenge of culture improvement from a resistant work force
• Professional verbal delivery skills with a high quality of administration work
• Ability to adapt to technology and uses courageous leadership to ensure all data is translated into “call for action” reports
