This company is a supplier of products to the domestic retail, foodservice and export markets and is a fully integrated business from manufacturing to sales. As General Manager Sales and Marketing you will need to be able to work seamlessly with other business functions. You will be a strong motivated leader with proven commercial acumen, and the resilience to operate in a highly competitive environment. The role is unique as it offers the scope to play a key role in developing strategy across channel, customer and brand, while also playing a lead role in the execution in market. While ensuring the strength in customer relationships is maintained, it is as important that you lead the team and function around you to success.

You will preferably have a background in Dairy or FMCG, but you may also have a more diverse background but be able to demonstrate strong sales leadership; key will be your ability to manage robust and cyclical pricing. You will also present with:

• A demonstrated capability in driving growth through account retention and new account development, as well as exposure to domestic and export markets.
• Strong leadership skills and proven team management, demonstrating strong team performance as a result of your direction.
• Resilience and persistence, with the ability to consistently manage the relentless cycle of pricing negotiations that goes with the industry.
• An innovative mind set that believes in what is possible to ensure we continue to build on a proven track record of growth.
• The ability to add value to NPD and future marketing strategies.
