About the role

I am looking for a reliable debt collector to contact and collect outstanding debts from customers. In order to be successful for this role, I need someone who can balance being polite and sensitive towards the customers but also be persistent enough to get the job done. Resilience is also a must!

Duties

Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts
Plan course of action to recover outstanding payments
Locate and contact debtors to inquire of their payment status
Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans
Handle questions or complaints
Investigate and resolve discrepancies
Create trust relationships with debtors when possible to avoid future issues
Update account status and database regularly

Skills & experience

Previous experience in debt collection
Excellent communication skills
Fantastic phone manner
Systems knowledge
Good typing skills
