About the Role
Reporting to the NZ Sales and Key Account Manager, we are looking for an independent and eager individual that will bring to the table a history of developing and executing account and field initiatives across a sales channel.
You will be effective in planning call cycles and promotional activity within a territory maintaining and building relationships with a range of key National and local based accounts, while continuing to secure new business.
Calling on distributors in the retail hardware, electrical, automotive and industrial market segments to present and sell high quality Apex products.
Key responsibilities
- Drive incremental business opportunities through new products and new accounts in all areas of the domestic market including Hardware and Industrial.
- Plan and develop strategies to target growth opportunities.
- Work with the NZ Sales Manager to develop strategy, forecasts, analysis of market conditions, and customer perceptions of product
- Effectively communicate with key stakeholders to ensure service delivery with customers
- Frequent South Island travel (approximately 6 trips x P.A.)
Our Ideal Candidate:
Candidates will need to demonstrate a history of success in terms of achieving sales volume; profit targets, ongoing product and sales training and meeting customer satisfaction targets. We are looking for someone with strong sales experience. In addition our ideal candidate will also possess the following key attributes:
- Hand Tools or similar experience.
- Proven track record in growing sales in New Zealand.
- Account management experience.
- High levels of customer orientation and a desire to win by doing things the right way
- Well-developed problem solving skills, tenacity and stamina.
- A friendly, energetic, dynamic, cooperative and proactive nature
- An unquestionable level of integrity.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong MS Office package ability
