We currently have a unique and rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in our Nestle sales team as Head of Category & Shopper.
 
What will you be doing
Reporting to the Country Manager and CEO of Nestle New Zealand you will be responsible for leading and developing the category & channel strategies of Nestle?s multiple  brands and categories within NZ, to deliver long term profitable category growth and an increase in Nestle?s market share.   This is a key leadership role within our business.
 
Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring that strategies and plans are defined and executed to deliver category growth
• Defining priority channels for the market / category and to create category channel plans
• Define the in-store vision of success for the category in each channel & deliver innovation in execution
• Lead dynamic & integrated commercial and business planning processes
• Lead and actively develop the category team through coaching and professional skills training, ensuring career & succession planning
• Establish winning commercial propositions and support the development of customer and field sales plans
• Engaging and coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders within NZ and our wider Oceania Regional teams

What we are looking for in you
You have extensive experience in FMCG / retail landscape in a similar and / or commercial role. In previous roles you?ve demonstrated the ability to reach targets and KPIs successfully, as well as demonstrating strong communication and leadership not only of your team but also the wider commercial team.
 
You understand the retail landscape and our consumers, can demonstrate strong category relationships with our key customers,  and are driven to ensure commercial success in your categories. A solid understanding of other business functions such as Finance, Supply Chain and Technical are key to be successful in this role.
