PrefabNZ is a national design and construction industry organisation driven by industry membership to deliver strategy, policies and outputs/outcomes on behalf of the prefabricated / offsite / innovative building industry. PrefabNZ aims to improve the NZ built environment quality through the increasing use of innovative prebuilt building components and techniques. This organisation deals with a complex range of issues, of both an operational and strategic nature. PrefabNZ Incorporated is a non-profit incorporated society governed by a Board. The Membership Manager is responsible for the engagement of Members – where Members are at the heart of everything we do as a non-profit member-based industry association !! Core tasks are:

  • Event planning and management – including our flagship event, the annual CoLab conference, as well as smaller Cluster event series – see www.prefabnz.com/Events
  • Membership engagement – including CRM system, growth strategy and targeted approaches – see www.prefabnz.com/Membership/
  • Business development – to increase Member value through initiating and leading new events, products, resources and services – see www.prefabnz.com/Resources/
  • Project coordination – to deliver on advocacy-focused projects such as design competitions – see www.prefabnz.com/Projects /

Close working relationships with CEO, Partnerships, Communications and Finance colleagues – see www.prefabnz.com/About/People/

The Membership Manager position requires a person who is able to follow guidelines and templates for systems and processes, while also offering up their expertise for improved efficiencies. This role will provide the operational support to the work of the CEO who directs PrefabNZ’s business objectives in line with the strategic directions laid down by the PrefabNZ Board.

This role also requires an individual with excellent initiative, proactive self-management habits and professional communication skills to act at the interface between PrefabNZ, its members, the public and stakeholders.
