The Role

In this Account Manager position your predominant focus will be to develop relationships and business with group home builders. This is a role where you don’t need to be in the office every day but you do need to build strong internal relationships so some office time is important. You’ll have clear expectations, autonomy to deliver results and guidance where you need it. Customers may also include builders, architects and specifiers, resellers and end users. There’s a good base of existing customers but you’ll also develop new business. Successful service of a customer requires a team effort, working with your colleagues is paramount but you’ll also take ownership for the full end to end customer relationship process.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven background of growing a sales territory or customer base. Experience with larger or multilevel accounts.
  • An affinity to the building industry (comfortable walking onto sites, able to understand diagrams/plans and have a technical conversation. Probably come from building/plumbing/electrical/etc). 
  • Energy and motivation with an inquisitive mind.
  • Detailed (you’ll be dealing in quantities, quotes, pricing, etc).
  • You’ll have resilience, be able to manage expectations and able to handle curve balls.
  • Most of all, you’ll have great work ethic, you’ll understand there’s a job to be done and a team to do it with. Be a contributor to the business.
