The Instillery, a 100% kiwi owned Cloud and IT Managed Services firm, is searching for a Business Development Specialist based in its offices in sunny Hawke's Bay. Fresh from a merger with Vo2, The Instillery is an award-winning IT powerhouse born in the cloud and automation era, servicing clients across the globe. The Instillery South team are proud to be part of this, and operate across the Hawke’s Bay and Manawatu regions.

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for market growth through the identification and realisation of new B2B opportunities within The Instillery South market.  The Business Development Specialist will drive the completion of proposals and other sales activities, contribute to the development of and then execute sales plans, and contribute to the overall delivery of the organisation’s strategy for market and revenue growth.

Core Role Responsibilities:

  1. Actively engage in lead generating activities; identify and develop new business opportunities from networking events, marketing events and own networking channels.
  2. Actively manage sales cycles to convert opportunities into contracts.
  3. Actively follow-up inbound leads generated through marketing systems such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and HubSpot.
  4. Develop and manage referrals through The Instillery channels, staff, customer and vendor partners.
  5. To meet all set individual KPI’s and be a supportive and actively contributing member of your team.
  6. Engage with key stakeholders across the company to actively build out and improve the sales and marketing functions and feedback on overall market opportunities.
  7. Work closely with the Client Engagement Managers to deliver the best Client onboarding experience.

Skills and Experience Required: 

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Outside Sales / Business Development.
  • Experienced in all aspects of a sales cycle from lead generation to close.
  • Demonstrated success in the development of internal and external business relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • High energy and drive with strong influencing and value generation skills.
  • Proficient with modern cloud productivity applications.
  • Good levels of business acumen.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to drive successful outcomes.
  • Proven proposal and presenting skills.
  • Strong communication and personal presentation.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines.
  • A passion for technology.
