Due to movement within the group, a promising role has arisen for an Agricultural Sales Manager to work for one of the leaders in the agricultural equipment industry in New Zealand to work in the booming Wairarapa/ Manawatu Ag Market. In this role you will play a key part in effective day to day running of your sales business as an agricultural specialist and the go to wholesale/ retail connection for your existing and cold business connections within the extensive client base. Ensuring the on-going relationship and extended service of a wide range of specialised tractors and equipment in the workshop and out in the field you will be the support person who has the "get up and go" to not only be the knowledge for support but also be able to foresee where other products in the range could be of use to the client.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience as a heavy diesel mechanic with an agricultural background with sales or vast exposure as a specialist sales representative across capital goods or the primary sector.
  • Ability to work to budgets and KPIs and a solid understanding/ ability to learn mechanical and technical aspects of the ag equipment industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills within both an internal environment with a customer centric attitude.
  • A strong ability to be a self-starter and get the job done immediately.
