Position Summary

The Client Manager position will be responsible for managing and selling products within the products business across New Zealand.  This role will focus on understanding our clients’ HR and business issues, building knowledge of all products and services available in the domains of:

  • pay (salary reviews, total compensation statements, etc.)
  • talent (talent review, high potential detection, leadership development, etc.)
  • and effectiveness (employee engagement and enablement)

In addition, the successful candidate will be able to identify opportunities to introduce these products to our clients, primarily through the strong relationship and account management they provide.

Finally, this role will be responsible for end delivery of products, typically by coordinating resources and technology, and managing the client satisfaction to guarantee renewal and extended usage of products.  

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly account managing and driving new business within existing nominated clients and prospects; investing time proactively in building relationships with the key client decision makers. This will include understanding the client organisation, businesses, locations, internal structure, immediate/long term needs, roles, how they manage their HR processes, and their history of working with Korn Ferry.
  • Proactively managing commercial opportunities within client portfolio and working with clients from proposals/quotes to coordination of delivery.
  • Creating high levels of customer loyalty within accounts and ensuring all aspects of client satisfaction by delivering on our promise to clients.
  • Working closely with all parts of the team ensuring facilitation and agreement on plans/actions for client development handover/service.
  • Partnering with marketing to establish appropriate client campaigns and material are available for an increase in response and client satisfaction.
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of the products we sell and actively looking for opportunities for client stories and case studies.

 

Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration; Business Management, Sales & Marketing or closely related field or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of HR/business solutions, tools and platforms particularly in the Pay and Talent management market
  • Proven business account management and new business development skills in order to create, maintain and enhance client relationships, specifically in a B2B context.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and client empathy.
  • A proven ability to work with clients and develop relationships/business, being driven by the commercial accountability of growing and renewing client revenue.
  • Ideally, five or more years of relevant business experience, with exposure to senior stakeholders – HRD, Group HR, and C-level
  • Excellence in networking, selling, influencing, communication and presentation skills.
  • A high achiever with enthusiasm and resilience.
  • A strong team player who is well organized and of high personal integrity.
