Secondment - 12 months - Auckland
ATNZ is New Zealand’s largest employer of mechanical engineering apprentices. Employers pay an hourly rate to the ATNZ Trust to have an apprentice seconded to their business on a contract basis to work and learn. Competenz manages and delivers the ATNZ Apprentice Programme.
We are seeking a fixed term Payroll and HR officer to provide support to our ATNZ Trust. You will be working closely with the ATNZ Payroll Manager and the ATNZ team to support and ensure that weekly and monthly payroll is completed. A component of this role will also have a focus on general HR.
What is most important is your ability to hit the ground running, be able to think on your feet and have lots initiative. Your computer skills will be above average, and having used computer systems is an essential part of this role.
No doubt your communication skills are second to none and you pride yourself on your ability to multi –task and meet tight deadlines in a very fast moving industry.
We are looking for someone who is able to think outside the square and be open to learning new processes and develop. You will enjoy being part of a close knit team!

- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- A sound understanding of NZ Employment and Payroll Legislation
- Ability to build effective working relationships
- Accurate Data Entry experience
