The Instillery, a 100% kiwi owned Cloud and IT Managed Services firm, is searching for a Managed Services Operations Center (MSOC) Team Lead based in its offices in sunny Hawke's Bay. Fresh from a merger with Vo2, The Instillery is an award-winning IT powerhouse born in the cloud and automation era, servicing clients across the globe. The Instillery South team are proud to be part of this, and operate across the Hawke’s Bay and Manawatu regions.

The MSOC Team Lead is the owner of Managed Services delivery for all Instillery South Managed Services customers. The MSOC Team Lead is responsible for managing the activities and responsibilities of the MSOC Team. As a part of this technical and management role, the MSOC Team Lead is also responsible for providing technical capacity to the team when needed and owning resolving alerts and/or tickets based on available capacity.

Core role responsibilities:

1.    Manage and lead the MSOC Team, and provide mentoring and support to enable all of the team to operate at their highest capability.

2.    Ensure The Instillery South achieve highest industry standards in Managed Services delivery.

3.    Understand overall Managed Services objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member and how the team interacts.

4.    Look for and manage ticket overflow from the Service Management Team to or from the MSOC team, during busy periods.

5.    Be accountable and continually improve Managed Services processes.

6.    Effectively lead the MSOC Team to successful outcomes and maintain set standards of The Instillery South people performance management HR process.

7.    Meet all set individual KPI’s and be a supportive and actively contributing member of your team.

Skills, Education and/or Work Experience requirements:

  • Minimum 5 Years relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in staff, management and development of a high performance technical team.
  • Understand Managed Services toolsets and how they are used to deliver service.
  • Ability to react positively to feedback around Managed Service and the overall Service delivery.
  • ·Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including being excellent at documentation and engaging in business-wide communications.
  • Understand technical tools and IT standards used in SME’s and a working knowledge of what currently constitutes "good practice" in IT.
  • Knowledge and experience in cross-functional management methods and techniques.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a close-knit team and work to enable and support colleagues to ensure the success of all.
  • Skill in strategic planning with an ability to think ahead and plan over a 6 to 12 month time span.
  • Knowledge and experience using scripting languages to automate or to solve common IT issues.
