Adapt IT Australasia Ltd is looking for an experienced hands-on Business Analyst to join our team.
Who are we?
Adapt IT is the leading supplier of student management solutions to the education sector. Adapt IT Australasia has products to meet the requirements of a diverse range of institutions, from the smallest Private Tertiary Establishments (PTE’s), Polytechnics and Wānanga to large Universities.
What is our need?
We require a Business Analyst who enjoys working directly with clients to identify business needs and is skilled in transforming those needs into documented requirements for our development team. You will work with clients and the Adapt IT team throughout the development process to ensure the desired outcome is achieved. We need someone who truly puts client needs first and is comfortable driving change within an SDLC environment. As a fast-growing company we are continually expanding so we need someone who can hit the ground running.
What will you do?
The role is very much a people facing one and you will be constantly liaising with different stakeholders and a diverse range of personalities. Given this, it is important that your communication and relationship building skills are excellent and that you genuinely like working with different types of people across a range of projects. You will also be involved in training of the product suite to staff and clients, including documentation preparation and presentations.
What do you have?
- Proven experience in the Education Sector, preferably Tertiary
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a BA or Junior BA which includes identifying business needs, eliciting, analysing and documenting user and system requirements
- Ability to actively participate in the SDLC to support design, development, testing and implementation, ensuring that the solution is fit-for-purpose and is delivered within agreed timeframes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt your communication to the purpose and audience
- Ability to develop and maintain harmonious relationships with clients, internal team members and third-party service providers
- Competency in software like Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Office 365 and One Drive and Atlassian applications including JIRA and Confluence
- Familiarity in working with a student management system, databases, data analysis and/or data flow and software like JIRA and Confluence would be an advantage
- Project Management experience would be an advantage
- Some experience working with clients in a consulting-type role, preferably in a vendor/client relationship.
