Join Lexel in the newly created role of Business Unit Manager – Cloud & Core Infrastructure.

Huge growth over the last few years has prompted the need to make some core changes in our professional services division, resulting in the creation of this key new role.

The role of BU Manager – Cloud & Core Infrastructure will report to the General Manager Cloud, Professional & Support Services and be responsible for complete ownership of this business unit.

Core responsibilities will include:

• Overall ownership of the success of the Business Unit
• Leadership and management of a team of highly skilled Technical Consultants
• Growth of the team to meet customer demand; resource planning/allocation and scaling as required
• Full P & L Management for the Business Unit
• ‘Cradle to Grave’ client engagement as relevant to your BU
• Working with the Lexel Sales Teams on Business Development as pertains to your BU – specifically initial client engagement, RFI/RFP response management, proposal/SoW creation and client presentations
• Commercial Management for your BU – contracts, SoWs, partnership agreements and the like
• Relationship development and management with other Lexel Business Unit Managers to understand capabilities and offerings
• Working with other BU Managers on projects requiring an integrated approach
• Actively maintaining a working knowledge of current and future trends and offerings in the Cloud & Core Infrastructure space to enable you to be a Subject Matter Expert for your BU

Ideal candidates will bring the following to the table:

• Experience in a Business Unit or General Management role within an IT solutions provider
• A solid demonstrable understanding of the New Zealand ICT services market; specifically current solution offerings in Cloud & Infrastructure
• Budgetary and full P&L Management expertise
• Team Leadership and People Management skills
• A proven ability to forecast pipeline of work and manage resource allocation to ensure optimal       utilisation and BU profitability
• A well established client network within the NZ mid and enterprise market
• Well-developed commercial and people skills
• A proven ability to understand client business requirements to enable the influence of technology services recommendations and selection
• Previous experience in client engagement at every level through the solution sales lifecycle
• An ability to time manage and multitask in a constantly changing environment, including coordinating the workflows of others
• Commercial expertise in bid management, customer engagement and taking an active role in RFP/RFI/EoI responses and SoW preparation
• A positive, proactive and Customer-centric attitude and approach
