Great contract opportunity to join a Global Brand in the Financial Services sector, based in Takapuna. Big growth phase.

The contract is for a Senior .Net Developer; a full stack Developer is sought with experience across both front and back end development.

The Responsibilities include:

• Build and maintain application programs as required and approved by the business by:
  • Provide technical guidance to .Net developers and help team members with technical queries and in marking prudent decisions.
  • Analyse existing systems and business model and provide clear, cost-effective, and feasible solutions to business requirements.
  • Provide programming solutions based on the functional requirements
  • Identify options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability.
• Perform code reviews, assist with developing system specifications and architectural plans outlining the structure of new software applications
• Provide training and supporting users on change control and system updates.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent preferred
• Experience working with agile development, preferably SCRUM.
• System Development:

1. Around 10 years commercial software development experience. 
2. Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into designs and build the solutions.
3. Front end knowledge using Angular, Bootstrap and Javascript.
4. Experience in development of multi-tier and distributed enterprise applications in .NET (WCF, WPF, Web services, APIs (SOAP, REST), MVC etc.)
5. Strong SQL Server experience - for use across data mapping projects.

• System Design

1. Knowledge of web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints
