Our client is a well reputed international organisation within the electronics hi-tech industry.  They are specialists at designing, developing, manufacturing and marketing their unique high end electronic products that contain superior technology critical for their industry.
 
An exciting position has become available for a proactive, dynamic and innovative Technical Lead with extensive C++/C expertise to join their team in Auckland.  You’ll be liaising with Product Managers, System Engineers and UX Designers and will be utilising your leadership skills to mentor and provide technical guidance to the development team.  You think strategically, have a pragmatic approach as well as strong planning and organisational skills.  You are focused on continuous development improvements and experienced at planning, tracking and delivering the full product development life cycle of quality software projects to meet set budgets and deadlines.  Your passion, in-depth knowledge and solid abilities as a developer using object-oriented principles will be extensively utilised.   
 
The skills and experience we are ideally looking for are: 

• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Engineering or similar
• 10 Plus years recent commercial experience developing in C++ or C is essential
• 5 Plus years experience designing with object-oriented languages (C/C++) and principles is essential
• Approximately 2 years proven ability to lead, inspire, motivate and mentor less experienced developers is essential
• Several years commercial experience developing software for embedded systems (embedded Linux) is essential
• Experience with UI design and UI implementation is essential
• Up to date knowledge of embedded software techniques and technologies
• Exposure to Android development with NDK, React Native, Qt or QML skills would be prefered
• Experience having worked with consumer electronics is required
• Team players with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organisational and planning skills
• The drive and ability to solve complex problems
