Are you passionate about IT? Looking for the the next step to progress your career in IT? Our ITS division is growing rapidly and we now need a second NOC Engineer to join us in supporting our large customer base. Working alongside the Service Desk team you'll be responsible for the delivery of our contracted proactive services to our customers.
The role
- Monitor managed systems for our customers using a variety of tools.
- Respond to alerts providing remediation where required.
- Check all backups to ensure validity.
- Ensure all anti-virus products are installed and up to date
- Monitor server disk capacity to ensure customers are aware of requirement to clear or create new space
- Oversee automated patching and ensure that compliance occurs
- Contribute to our knowledge base from alerting tickets
- Actively participate in the ongoing development of our toolsets.
- Work closely with TDM’s and SDM’s on larger accounts to constantly improve the performance of the infrastructure.
Key requirements
- Experience managing and supporting IT infrastructures
- Strong ability to diagnose server or network alerts, events or issues
- Understanding of common information architecture frameworks
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
- Good oral and written communication skills,
- Can work a flexible schedule
