We are looking for an Account Handler / Team Leader to join our Auckland practice. A passionate  leader who can represent our business in the retail sector handling multiple accounts.

Context is a 65+ architectural practice operating nationally from offices in Auckland and Christchurch. We currently work in the retail, residential, hospitality and commercial sectors offering a broad range of design services. 

We are working at the cutting edge of technology-enabled client experiences, with our clients engaging directly in the design process through new technologies to bring projects to life through virtual and augmented reality and digital tools. We love being at the forefront, introducing our clients to new and exciting ways of doing things and collaborating with others from afar.

The primary objective of the Account Handler / Team Leader is to manage multiple clients and accounts, lead projects and teams to a successful outcome for our clients and their stakeholders.

About you:

  • bachelor's degree in architecture or related field 
  • leadership in the managing of people, creativity and identifying and implementing strategy
  • strong knowledge of all aspects of the design process, retail strategy, design & documentation, implementation and FF&E 
  • a storyteller able to develop a narrative  and take people with you on your journey
  • strong understanding of brand equity and how to leverage this
  • passion for design and technical excellence and enjoy sharing your knowledge
  • passion for strategy, space, materiality and textures
  • able to embrace the business strategy as well as be a conceptual thinker
  • a desire to embrace our immersive digital and interactive technology
  • an open and collaborative "can do" attitude
  • a client-focused ethos, where you do what you say you will do, and go the extra mile to deliver
  • ability to work with multiple project teams, across both offices 
  • a people person
  • knowing that the detail matters, and systematic and disciplined in your approach
  • natural leadership skills to ensure your team works cohesively together and rallies around yours and your teams conceptual ideas
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to speak to a wide-range of stakeholders
  • strong design team and project management abilities
  • an understanding of NZ construction processes including details, standards and building codes
  • strong technical and computer skills
  • proficiency in ArchiCAD, InDesign and Photoshop
  • experienced in Microsoft project or equivalent
