We are a small (but growing) IT Support and Software company, looking for an experienced Accounts Administrator to join the team here in Mt Wellington.

This is a unique role offering a mix of accounting and administrative tasks.

We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills and a high attention to detail.

Experience in Xero is preferred but not essential, and on job training will be provided.

You will take a proactive approach, have a positive can-do attitude, be passionate about fantastic customer service, and be super-organised.

You will have strong computer skills in MS Office and will have a background in small business accounting and administration. You will be someone who is able to prioritise and work autonomously to get things done.

This is a varied and interesting position which will fully utilise your people and administrative skills. 

You will be joining a warm, hardworking and approachable team who work well together but still know how to have fun. You will report directly to one of the company directors, and will be supported by our external accountant when necessary.

This is a part time position, 20-30 flexible hours per week, with the potential to grow to a fulltime position in the future.  We are family-friendly and genuinely flexible around school hours and holidays.

 

The roles comprises of the following key areas:

  • Accounting functions using Xero
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Accounts payable/Accounts Receivables
  • Monthly credit card reconciliation
  • GST/FBT/RWT returns
  • Fixed Asset register
  • Invoicing and Statements
  • Fortnightly payroll (basic, using SmartPayroll)
  • Collecting mail from PO boxes
  • Ordering office stationery & grocerys
  • Organising lunches for meetings
  • Organising ad-hoc social events
  • Organising Vehicle maintenance
  • Other general office tasks as required
