Our client is a dynamic chartered accounting and business advisory firm based in a prime Central Auckland location. The firm is led by business savvy partners who have been the driving force behind the impressive growth.
We are looking for an articulate business services accountant with outstanding client servicing competencies.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the accounting and advisory team in the firm.
Therefore, the role requires a mix of technical competencies and attributes, including sound grounding in all aspects of financial accounting, tax compliance, management reporting and business advisory.
To be successful for this role, you are likely most or all of the following requirements outlined in our client's brief:
- CA or CPA qualified or nearly qualified
- Must have a minimum of 3-4 years current NZCA experience in business services
- Good understanding of the NZ tax and financial reporting system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven client servicing experience
- Strong general systems, Xero and Excel skills
- Drive and desire to develop further professionally
Reporting to a Manager and, at times to one of the partners in the firm, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of clients
- Preparation of year-end financial statements
- Tax compliance
- Monthly reporting, budgeting & forecasting and preparation of cashflow statements
- Participating in advisory projects for some of the more complex clients
- Various other ad hoc responsibilities
The role will suit a self-driven professional currently working in a larger mid-size or a Big 4 firm.
Good general systems skills and working knowledge of Excel, Xero and MYOB would be advantageous.
