LeaderBrand is a large scale, vertically integrated horticultural business that grows, packs and distributes a range of fresh vegetables, salads and process vegetables for domestic and international customers.
Due to business growth, commissioning of new plant & equipment plus the introduction of new business systems, the company now wishes to appoint a CA qualified Senior Management Accountant to the Gisborne based Finance team.
As Senior Management Accountant, you will directly lead seven people within the Finance & Administration team. You will assist the Company’s Financial Controller with the Finance Department functions. This includes your being responsible for the accuracy and timelines of transactions, planning of workflows, oversight of monthly management accounts, relevant reporting, audit completion and ensuring compliance expectations are met.
LeaderBrand has recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV 15 so exposure to this or a similar ERP system would be advantageous.

Competencies required to be successful in this role include:
- An in depth understanding of the primary industry
- Extensive exposure to ERP systems and Business Intelligence software
- 5+ years’ commercial experience
- A focus on continuous improvement
- Willingness to live & work in Gisborne
- Sound people leadership & teamwork skills
- CA or CPA qualification - preferred
