Detail information about job Head of Fundraising. Terms and conditions vacancy

  • Lead a passionate fundraising and direct marketing team
  • Achieve the vision: zero deaths from breast cancer
  • Drive fundraising & brand reputation to enable the programmes and research team
The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation is the country's foremost breast cancer education and awareness organisation. With the well-known pink ribbon as their trademark and over 20 years of fundraising they have a strong brand and purpose. Their vision is zero deaths from breast cancer and they will do this by pushing new frontiers in early detection, treatments and support. Better treatments will be key to achieving this vision, thus the Foundation is now the largest funder of breast cancer research in NZ.

With such big goals they need a savvy, data driven, strategic Head of Fundraising to help them drive sustainable income.

This is a big role – and a busy one! In addition to leading a passionate and collaborative team you’ll be building successful fundraising initiatives with business and philanthropic partnerships. Working closely with the CE and senior leadership you will help to implement the strategic plan for the Foundation. You’ll be responsible for building sustainable income streams to grow the spread of business and philanthropic donors and maximising the value of the database. This will involve mapping out strategic horizons, targets, and plans for sustainable fundraising income through a diversified portfolio and using direct marketing to drive future income streams.

Not for profit industry experience is not essential for this role (although it would be a bonus). We’re eager to speak to agile fundraisers with experience in direct marketing who have held P&L responsibility. You will understand how to drive revenue targets through database marketing and have experience leading a team to achieve significant goals.

This sort of opportunity to give back and do good in your day to day career doesn’t come around often. The culture is collaborative, working together towards a common goal for improving the outcomes of New Zealander’s with breast cancer. The CE is experienced, smart, and will challenge you to do your best every day. With the backing of a supportive and driven Board this is an awesome role to make your mark with measurable results.
