Our Mission:

Together we stand with those in desperate need.

We provide immediate relief and pathways to enable long term wellbeing.

We are currently seeking a full time permanent keyworker for the Elder Service to join our multidisciplinary team  providing integrated social services to Auckland's homeless and rough sleeping community. In this role you will be supporting clients over the age of 55 into greater social inclusion, meeting accommodation needs, and linking with other services. The Elder Service plays a vital role in creating a community environment within which advocacy services can be provided to this highly disadvantaged group.

You will be working in a team alongside other Auckland City Mission services such as Calder Medical Centre, Housing First and Social Detox and also involved in community activities. You will hold an individual case load, work one on one with clients and must have both initiative and exceptional interpersonal skills. A relevant background/qualification in social work or community support work is required, as is experience with case management roles in a similar environment. You should be willing to work occasional weekend shifts and after hours shifts, and you will be expected to do outreach work in the community, work collaboratively with aged care providers and mental health services, liaise with community probation services, as well as linking with a variety of health services and accommodation providers.
