Northcote College is a co-educational secondary school on Auckland's North Shore. We are seeking an Examination Centre Manager to manage end of year external NZQA NCEA and Scholarship Examinations. (Note: The position is at Northcote College. The employment contract is with NZQA.)
The Examination Centre Manager (ECM) is responsible to NZQA for the conduct of the NZQA examinations held at Northcote College in November 2018. As ECM, you will be responsible for the management of all processes relating to the conduct of secondary examinations at Northcote College according to NZQA procedures. The ECM is also responsible for employing sufficient supervisors to ensure reliable supervision, while using the minimum number of supervisors efficiently.
Training is provided by NZQA. The position involves part time work from October and is full time during the NZQA examination period (Wednesday 7 November - Friday 30 November 2018).
Key tasks include:
- Liaison with the school to confirm the accommodation required for the efficient conduct of examinations
- Preparation of an examination plan on-line prior to the various examinations being held so that supervision is conducted in the most efficient and economical manner
- Provision of approved special assessment conditions for specified candidates
- Responsibility for the receipt, checking and secure storage of all examination booklets, including late entries, and materials
- Training of supervisors and examination assistants.

- Computer skills and access to a computer and email during the exams are necessary.
