Competenz is currently recruiting for an Account Manager, Forestry to join the team in the Bay of Plenty region. We are looking for someone who is experienced in the Forestry industry or has experience and exposure within the Forestry sector.

This role is different to any other Account Manager role and is not for the light hearted. We need someone who will be responsible for promoting, developing, managing and arranging training and assessments for Forestry customers.  Most importantly, you will become their trusted advisor.  

The role is responsible for assessing. You will do this by working with employers, providers, trainees and other relevant parties to successfully implement workplace based training and manage completions of Forestry qualifications. A key focus of the role is coaching and mentoring workplace assessors. You will have an absolute focus on the customer, engaging at all levels within their business.

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a customer focused account manager role.
  • Comfortable with working in the forest environment and comfortable with driving  on forestry roads.
  • Workplace assessor and/or moderator experience
  • Understanding  qualifications in education OR Forestry industry related qualifications / experience
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage own territory effectively and efficiently to meet the needs of the customer
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of computer literacy; proficient in Microsoft office suite
