Detail information about job Electrotechnology Tutor. Terms and conditions vacancy

  • Help us upskill the next generation of sparkies
  • Inspire, educate and build yourself a new career
  • Amazing culture and passionate people just like you!

If the idea of training, supporting and passing on your knowledge to others to enable them to achieve their career goals is something you have thought about or wish to continue in, then have we got the career step for you!

Training the next generation of electrical and electronics experts as a tutor at eTEC, doesn't mean downing tools completely, but it does mean channeling your experience and passion for both the industry and adult education into a role you can truly make your own.

The demand for experts just doesn't let up, which is why eTEC are adding another tutor to their team of experienced industry professionals - who, incidentally, are a great bunch of people, all proudly united in the one goal of delivering great training experiences.

Join them, and you'll be right at home in a team that's all about mentoring, educating and inspiring young people and new to New Zealand' people to successfully complete their nationally recognised credentials.

You'll do this at eTEC's brand new training facility in East Tamaki, where your role will be a mix of small classes, block courses and at times, evening contact sessions. You'll even head off-site at times to support big employers like the Navy.

If you have previous teaching experience, all the better. But if not, rest assured, you won't be unleashed on a class or course without plenty of training and support, learning the ropes from other tutors and developing your own teaching capabilities. You'll also support the Programme Manager with a host of associated training support, such as internal and external moderation, validation and audit requirements, and assisting with the development of new training material and assessment tools.

Aside from your broad industry background including electrical and/or electronics experience, you will need to hold a current electrical registration.

The most important skill you will bring to this role is an ability to engage and inspire people so it's imperative you have a natural affinity to motivating people to get the best out of them.

In return, you can look forward to an attractive salary and fantastic range of benefits, including superannuation, life insurance, fuel discounts, birthday leave, ongoing training and development, coffee via an awesome coffee machine and fresh fruit daily.

If you're keen to explore your passion for youth and take your career in a new and rewarding direction, take action now and contact Annie O'Keefe today!
