Due to a recent increase in new models, we have a requirement to recruit three fixed term contractors, for a period of six months, to assist us with a number of model validation assignments. Working alongside an experienced team of full time model validators you will need to bring banking and/or business analytics experience to be considered for this role.

Based at ASB's state-of-the-art head office on Auckland's waterfront, you will come on board to be part of our Model Centre of Excellence team. This diverse team has been established to lay the foundation of a strong model risk management culture across ASB. We collaborate with model owners to independently validate models against current model policy and standards, and provide guidance on how to mature their model risk management environment.

If you are right for the role, we'll be impressed by your proven analytical skills, comprehensive understanding of processes and systems across the banking environment, and your technical expertise using SQL.

There is plenty of stakeholder engagement, therefore strong communication and report writing skills are essential along with your ability to build valuable working partnerships. You'll have an eye for process improvement, expertly deliver to deadlines and collaborate with the business to make conscious and informed risk based decisions through providing valuable insights.
