Our Client has a short window opportunity and requires an experienced store person to join their vibrant team based in Hamilton. They are New Zealand’s leading provider of steel solutions with over 60years of trading history in this country.
About you:
The ideal candidate will have genuine interest or knowledge in the steel industry and has had proven experience as a store person. You are a self-starter and pride yourself on your high attention to detail. You are reliable, punctual and enjoy working in a fast paced environment. Awareness, understanding and commitment to health and safety and working as part of a team will come naturally to you. The position is long term and potentially become permanent for the right candidate.
This is a fulltime role from Monday to Friday with some weekend work from 7am to 5pm and OT where required. A Forklift or Gantry licence is advantage but work ethics and commitment are more important.
Requirements for the role:-
- Literacy and numeracy skills
- Be punctual and on time
- Willingness to learn
- Work in the dispatch area assisting both incoming and outgoing goods
- Accurately allocate steel materials and relocate them to correct areas
- Assist in other departments where required
- Pick and pack
Advantage but not necessary:
Forklift license (not essential but advantageous)_
Gantry licence (not essential but advantageous)_
Full licence class 1 (is a must)
