My client is a government department with a newly established risk and assurance team, looking for a manager to take ownership of risk. This role is an opportunity to operate at high levels - helping to integrate this department's risk frameworks with a wider entity - but also to work at grass roots level educating front line staff.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Ensure a high standard of operational risk management and assurance practice
- Identify and raise significant risk management issues
- Lead continuous improvement in risk matters
- Lead risk analytics and reporting
- Establish and maintain key relationships within the business
You will have demonstrable experience managing and developing risk frameworks and assurance processes. Controls testing and the reporting of the results is a crucial part of the role of this team and you will be very familiar with designing and testing controls. You will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
