Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for  

• Establish, implement and maintaining best practice commercial & category procurement strategies in order to improve the effectiveness of WNZL’s value chains, best practice business models and third party spend
• Partner with business units in order to design and implement short, medium and long term commercial / procurement strategies and accountable for effective delivery of end to end procurement capability and services across WNZL
• Drive the business to identify and deliver commercial /procurement excellence, whilst capitalising on opportunities to reduce cost and ensuring targets are achieved
• Engage and influence internal and external business partners and suppliers to achieve the desired outcomes of the WNZL business
• Lead market based activities such as RFx/tender processes in support of vendor / service strategies
• Lead and support supplier assessments, negotiation and contract management
• Support continuous improvement of procurement processes and policies that help deliver an experience that delights, and have a seamless One bank approach

You and your team will have responsibility to reduce the cost, maximise value by planning and completion of procurement, and cost management activities in conjunction with business stakeholders.  Your role will have an emphasis ensuring that the full value and potential of relationships are identified and realised.

What you’ll need to succeed: 

• 5+ years’ experience in a commercial role within a dynamic corporate environment
• Management experience of complex multi-million $ accounts
• External and internal relationship management and contract negotiation experience
• Consulting, influencing, incident resolution, and problem solving skills
• Project, change, and risk management experience
• Standard procurement process experience (RFx etc)
