A financial services organisation with operations throughout New Zealand is seeking an experienced Risk and Compliance Analyst with expertise in IT and Technology to join their high performing team.
Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance, this role will play an integral part in identifying areas of risk and recommending remedial action to manage these risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review operational processes to ensure risks and controls are correctly identified
- Undertake independent assurance reviews, providing business analysis and other financial support as required
- Maintain AML/CFT requirements including daily compliance and monitoring, filing and reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Assist with ongoing maintenance, development and documentation of business processes and procedures
Key Requirements:
- Tertiary qualified with at least three years experience in an operational risk role from a financial services background
- Sound knowledge of banking legislation, policies and the regulatory and legislative environment
- Experience developing, implementing and reviewing policies and frameworks
- Comfortable with IT and technology from a Risk perspective
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), as well as strong time management skills
- High attention to detail and self motivated with the ability to work autonomously and resolve conflicts
