We have an excellent opportunity at our Dargaville beef processing plant, for a person experienced in supervising a large team of people within a meat processing facility. The position will supervise the night shift slaughter operation and will report to the Production Manager. This position is critical in developing a team that can deliver high quality product to specification, to meet the needs of our valued customers.

The successful applicant will have the following skills:

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively plan and co-ordinate a production process.
  • An excellent understanding of compliance requirements of a modern food processing plant in the meat industry, including relevant Meat Industry Standards, HACCP, HASIE Act and Quality Management.
  • Competency in the use of Microsoft applications.
  • Knowledge of Beef slaughter requirements is desirable.

The Supervisor Primary Butchery will be responsible for leadership of the slaughter room operations, health and safety, personnel management, including coaching employees, and working on production projects when required.
