Employing over 1400 staff in 15 ports both here and in Australia, C3 Limited is a market leader in New Zealand’s port related product and cargo handling, adding value to our client’s businesses by providing solutions to their transport and logistics needs.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to focus on all aspects of our Log Marshalling facility that includes a busy Checkpoint, Shipping yard and Log Stevedoring. Reporting to the Branch Manager we seek someone who can further develop and lead a team and manage the day to day operations of our largest Log Marshalling branch.
This position offers opportunities to deliver further improvements in customer service, labour allocation efficiency and productivity. As this is a 24/7 operation flexible hours and some weekend work will be required.
The successful candidate will require the following:
Experience at optimizing efficiency of labour and plant
Demonstrated commitment to H&S management and understanding of WSNZ legislative requirements
Effective relationship management with customers and staff
Good planning and organisation skills
Strong commercial acumen
Experience with the Microsoft office suite & ability to quickly learn new in-house computer programmes
Strong and effective people leadership ability in complex labour environments
Proven operational management experience, ideally in a supply chain, forestry or Port environment
