Job purpose
- Ensure daily duties are completed in factory, and occasional offsite duties when requested.
- Work safely and efficiently to ensure effective operation and production of product.
- Ensure quality and compliance of Real Pet Food Company requirements.
Hours of Work
Monday - Friday 7:00am - 2:00pm
Duties and responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Work within Company processes, procedures and Risk Management Procedures (RMP)
- Reviewing raw material quality and reporting findings.
- Checking the quality of various finished product and record results as required.
- Setting objectives for quality assurance compliance.
- Recommend and implement changes where product quality is not to specification.
- Complete and/ or collate all company process documents.
- Guiding production staff about quality measures.
- Understanding, assessing, and performing quality checks, and investigating the source of non-compliance.
- Monitoring staff attendances and time card protocols.
- Hold monthly quality meetings with factory staff and compile report.
- Ensure site health and safety program is run accordance with company procedures and the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
Skills and Responsibilities
- Knowledge of the products manufactured in the factory.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to understand and conduct quality control methods.
- Ability to speak, write, read and understand English.
- Accurate basic numeracy skills.
- Able to follow and execute instructions.
- Ability to be punctual and diligent.
- Accurate, patient, careful, responsible, alert and be a team player.
- Actively participate in training as in when required.
Requirements
- Able to legally work in New Zealand.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
- Able to pass pre-employment workplace wellness.
Working Conditions
- Work conditions are onsite in a chilled factory environment working with raw meat product.
- Outside work may also be required from time to time.
