About the role 
As a Senior Business Designer, you will play a key role in designing strategic and transformational change.  You will nurture our devoted clients as you run small projects yourself or work as a Senior on some of ThinkPlace’s largest and most complex design and innovation challenges. 
  
You will:  

• actively lead and participate in research planning, insight generation, concept generation and prototyping / test, learn and pilot activities. 
• design, develop and grow new ideas and services and that serve to drive better futures for our communities, economy and environment. 
• independently manage smaller design projects in line with best practice methodology. 
• lead and contribute to business improvement projects. 
• write winning proposals (support will be provided). 
• deliver with stunning execution as you work across multiple projects, multi-tasking with ease, maximising tools and creating efficiencies.    

  We are looking for someone who will bring: 

• a designer's mindset backed with a design qualification.  
• experience designing transformational change. 
• previous work experience in a big 4 consultancy or as an analyst in a medium sized government department. 
• strong commercial acumen and excellent client and stakeholder engagement skills. 
• excellent problem solving, multi-tasking and decision-making skills.
• high levels of initiative and pro-activity and be well versed in working in a dynamic fast paced environment. 
• strong technology skills and an interest in modern digital working. 

Additionally you will be comfortable working across cultures and have a commitment to Te Tiriti.     
  
We’d particularly love to hear from you if you have been a Designer/ Analyst in the sectors of Health, Social Services for Māori and Pasifika OR  in business change management roles within a consultancy firm.
