• Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, or possible part-time if required!

We are urgently looking for an experienced Metadata Specialist to hit the ground running in a 6 months temporary assignment or fixed term contract, based in the heart of Auckland CBD.

• Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
• Auckland CBD location

Details of the role:

• Develop metadata standards for the effective delivery of high quality metadata within & across internally managed systems
• Work towards achieving a comprehensive approach for various forms of content
• Investigate and keeping up to date with national & international metadata standards
• Work towards better integration,  service improvement & continuous development
• Contribute towards creating a great user experience for clients
  

Requirements:

• A proven track record in creating, editing and transforming metadata
• Extensive experience working in cataloguing & digital resource databases
• Experience in libraries, archives or records management (ideal)
• Skills in scripting languages and/or tools for data manipulation
• Excellent interpersonal skills able to work effectively in a large and complex organisation
• High attention to detail and problem solving skills
