The opportunity
There are many fascinating and complex issues arising from Auckland’s growth and population diversity. As Senior Policy Analysts within our Parks and Recreation and Community Policy teams, you will lead policy projects that tackle these issues. In doing so, you will deliver influential, high quality and timely policy advice to decisionmakers. To deliver your outcomes, you will enjoy engaging and connecting with Auckland’s communities, navigate the political environment, and get satisfaction from problem solving and providing evidence based solutions.
About you
We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong analytical and research skills. You have excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills, and are able to navigate a diverse political landscape while working both autonomously and in consultation with others. You have experience in policy development and have led projects. Your verbal and written communications skills are top notch. Experience in community engagement and a familiarity with policy and legislation relevant to local government are desirable. You have a full NZ driver’s license or are able to travel independently.
