Seeking an ambitious and results driven territory manager to represent a leading petroleum company, developing and maintaining strong business relationships with site operators, as well as enhancing and protecting the brand.
Our client is a global leader in the exploration and production of oil and gas, petroleum refining and supply of fuels. They are looking for a retail territory manager who willdevelop and maintain relationships with site operators and internal contacts, and work to grow fuel sales and deliver a quality offer to motorists.
Responsibilities
On-site
- Conduct regular site visits and provide counseling, guidance and support to sustain superior operating and image standards and implementation of best practices and retailing tactics.
- Negotiate and secure Site Operator participation in marketing programs
- Steward on-site execution of fuels value proposition offers (including the relevant loyalty program) to deliver superior marketing, promotions and customer service programs.
- Support training needs for Site Operator and service station personnel
- Ensure compliance with policies and processes for Safety, Health, Environment, Security; Business Controls; Product Quality; Brand Integrity.
Head office
- Lead and participate in periodic site operator meetings
- Feedback market intelligence information on trade area and any on-site execution issues
- Lead negotiations with site operator on contracts (new/renewal/divestment/compliance)
- Actively support dealer selection/buyout/divestment
- Assist in regulatory compliance and risk assessments.
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration/Management or equivalent business experience
- Effectively communicates with demonstrated interpersonal skills and team oriented approach
- Be able to negotiate and influence others without formal authority
- Possess strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills
- Be able to recruit/develop/train/coach/counsel dealer/other parties
- Have retail site operations knowledge
