We are looking for two high energy, detail focused Design Engineers to join our Asset Engineering team with proven experience in electricity network design and project engineering. Working closely with our engineers and field operations team you will be responsible for providing cost effective, standards aligned designs for asset replacement, renewal, capital and large-scale maintenance projects. You will ensure all work is produced with the safety of our people, the public and assets at front of mind.
Key aspects of this role include overhead and underground network design and engineering, cost estimation, development of technical specifications and standards, and project engineering support during construction. You will be a self-starter and have strong ability to deliver multiple projects on time and to the required standards.
You will:
- Have a relevant qualification in electrical engineering or similar.
- A minimum of 3+ years demonstrable experience in engineering and/or electricity design roles, or significant experience in field construction supervision or project management.
- Formal project management training is preferred, but not essential.
- Understanding of best practice and industry standards for network design and asset management.
- Clear, consistent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
