Our client is looking for an Electrical Fitter to construct and maintain electrical equipment to customer requirements in a substation environment.

The role
Joining an experienced team supporting the Rotorua and Bay of Plenty region, you will be carrying out the construction and maintenance of electrical equipment in the High Voltage, substation environment.
You will need to be a proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills, be able to cope with the physical demands of the role, have an excellent attendance and safety record and a clean NZ driver's licence. Duties:
- Construction and Maintenance of electrical equipment
- Carry out prescribed electrical work as per regulations
- Working on Substation equipment
- Timely and accurate reporting of completed work
- Role will include an on-call component with moderate travel across Rotorua, Waikato and Bay of Plenty region
- Compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
Skills and experience:
- A current EWRB practising licence
- Previous substation, generation or distribution experience.
- Full NZ driver's class 1 licence required
- Experience with Transpower assets and environment desirable
- Current first aid certificate is desirable
- We will consider persons with previous experience in an industrial electrical environment.
