Our client is looking for an experienced Distribution Line Mechanic to join their East Tamaki depot.

The role

Maintaining an electrical distribution network, our client is experiencing sustained growth and is looking to add to their experienced and established teams.

Seeking experienced and qualified Line Mechanics to apply their skills to the construction, maintenance, upgrade and repair, of the distribution network and street lighting, alongside our East Tamaki based team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who holds an EWRB registration and a current practicing licence.

Duties:

• Supporting maintenance and construction of electrical lines
• To develop work plans for construction and servicing of overhead electricity lines and equipment
• To operate ground and structure mounted electrical equipment associated with electric lines up to 33kV
• Overhaul non-load-bearing pole hardware in electrical networks up to 110kV
• Install and replace electricity network pole structure and overhead conductors
• Meet customer and regulatory requirements
• Adhering to best practice
• Maintain field paperwork, reports and inspection documentation
• Compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements

Skills and experience:

• EWRB registered
• Current practising licence
• Overhead lines experience
• Experience working on the Auckland Network an advantage
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• HT Licence (preferred)
• Competent with current mobile technolocy (iPads, Tablets, PC)
• Have experience working on lines up to and including 33kV
