The Role

We are looking for a self-motivated and goal orientated retail specialist to join our growing business. This is a business critical role that requires an individual with strong leadership and management skills, the ability to motivate, influence, mentor and empower our retail team. You will provide retail expertise and leadership to the network of stores in the Auckland / Northland area, using best practice and commercial acumen to maximise retail sales and profit.

Reporting directly into the National Retail Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Mentor our dual format stores to achieve their retail sales targets
  • Lead regional roll out of our retail merchandise strategy
  • Provide retail training and development for branch staff throughout the region
  • Identify business growth opportunities to drive retail success within Repco
  • Working closely with Branch Managers to identify and develop key retail talent
  • Provide regional insights to ensure stores have right product, right quantity and right promotion for success
  • Be the crucial link in communication between Head Office, Senior Managers and other stakeholders
  • Requires first class relationship building and influencing skills
  • A business savvy mindset
  • The ability to engage at strategic and operation levels
  • Influencing change through leading by example with demonstrated ability to deliver value adding retail initiatives

Skills & Experience

To be successful, you must demonstrate insight into market trends and have an intimate understanding of drives consumers. You will bring real life examples where you have used your initiative and your ability to execute retail strategies that have delivered above market growth. Your genuine and authentic personality will help you build and maintain strong relationships within the retail network, and your high level of business acumen and numerical literacy will provide confidence in engaging at strategic and operational levels.
