Our client is a technologically driven financial institution in the heart of Auckland CBD. They have automated their Accounts payable and Accounts receivable function, they also are using Artificial Intelligence to improve efficiencies and deliver high standards to their customers. Their team is always looking for process improvements and improving productivity.
They are looking for a Senior Credit Controller to manage a team of 2 people and take ownership of the credit function. This is a newly created role reporting to the Head of Finance.
They are looking for a problem solver, positive attitude to join their business. Financial institution experience is absolutely essential for you to thrive in this role.
A lot of your time will be spent collecting outstanding money within a B2B environment. You should have an outgaining and can-do attitude. Some of the key responsibilities would be:
- Overlooking Credit Control function;
- Managing all premium bank accounts;
- Reporting on premium collections, commission payable;
- Reporting on unallocated cash (bank balance vs. outstanding) and on key buckets of an outstanding balance;
- Assisting Accounts Receivable Officer (ARO) in allocating payments during busy times (e.g. June, March);
- Monthly Review of key customers’ accounts;
- Aged Debtors reporting and follow up, making sure that unsuccessful queries will lead to risk’s cancelation;
- Leasing with our external customers on debt collection, disputes;
- Assisting Credit Controller in her day-to-day tasks;
- Providing outstanding customer service to all customers, both internal and external;
- Indirect management of Accounts Receivable and Credit Control function;
- Other ad-hoc duties;
- Proactively providing recommendations to management on better/more efficient ways of operation, constant process improvement.
