Our client is a market leader in their industry and pride themselves on holding their services and their people to the highest standards. They are now on the lookout for an Assistant Accountant to join their high performing finance team.

The best thing about this role? FLEXIBILITY! The role is offered at 30 hours (salary pro rated) with additional hours around month end and other busy periods to be offered back as additional leave. This provides the ideal opportunity for someone who wants to be busy and challenged in their role to have work life balance as well.

The role: 

• Full accounting activities – month end, journals, reconciliations and trial balances
• Monthly PNL forecasting
• Budget preparation
• Inventory management
• Weekly and monthly reporting
• Manage capex requests, forecast, reporting and maintain database
• Prepare costing and customer profitability analysis and reporting
• Prepare weekly reporting according to internal requirements
• Assist with internal and external audits, year-end statutory audits
• Prepare business analysis and operational KPIs
• Ad hoc analysis, including project work and general support as required
• Excellent Excel Skills 

The candidate:

• Credible experience in a similar role and industry
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
• Flexible
• Excellent reconciliations skills
